Why take part

When applying for a job, a criminal record can be a real hurdle, not one that many employers wish to jump. But the record not only contains the individual's crime and length of sentence, it includes their behaviour and notable actions, such as fights or voluntary service. By adding work experience to this record, the employer is able to see that the past offender has changed and is willing to rebuild themselves through hard work.
